How to Watch The Good Place Season 3 Live Online

TV show enthusiasts know one thing to be true: September marks the start of everything. One of the shows I’m personally excited about is The Good Place. The third season is coming out very soon, and the producers are promising a premier for the books! The third season will premier on NBC on September 27th, with Netflix offering it worldwide on the 28th. Why would you need to know how to watch it live? Personally, I don’t like running the risk of reading a spoiler, and I know that the internet is going to be crawling with them after the first episode airs in the US. Here’s how you can watch The Good Place season 3 on NBC at the same time as the US.

The Good Place – What We Know So Far

SPOILERS. THIS SECTION HAS A LOT OF SPOILERS. Skip to the next section if you haven’t seen the first 2 seasons.

Ok, you’ve been warned, let’s proceed.

Last season wrapped up with the four main characters back on Earth. This time, they’re in a timeline where none of them have died. The episode ends with Eleanor (Kristen Bell) finding Chidi (William Jackson Harper) by her own volition. Remember, neither one of them has any memory of anything that happened while they were dead.

Season 2’s last episode set up the upcoming season perfectly. According to the producers, season 3 is going to cover Eleanor, Chidi, Tahani ( Jameela Jamil) and Jason’s (Manny Jacinto) time on Earth after having a “near death experience”. So far, we have no clue how they’re going to prove that they are morally good people without knowing that they’re being tested.

The first 2 minutes of S3 Ep1 was aired at this year’s San Diego Comic-con, and according to IndieWire, we get to see how Michael (Ted Danson) goes to Earth to save the four characters. You also get to hear Michael raving about pigeons, and who doesn’t love Michael’s fascination with all things non-supernatural.

The premiere of season 3 is going to be an hour long, so we’re sure a lot of the plot premise is going to be covered right off the get-go. You can catch the premiere of s3 on NBC on September 27th.

How to Watch The Good Place on NBC Anywhere in the World

As I said above, Netflix will host The Good Place s3  in every region. However, you’ll get to watch each episode the day after it’s release on NBC. If you want to watch the show at the same time as the US, you’re going to need a way to unblock NBC, since the network’s streaming platform is blocked outside of the States. To do that, you need to get a VPN.

Why Use a VPN?

There are many reasons why you should be using a VPN. This service is quickly becoming a necessity for the average internet user. A VPN will encrypt your data and re-route your traffic through a private connection, giving you total security and anonymity online. In order for a VPN to do that, you will be asked to connect to one of their servers. When traffic is re-routed through a server, your public IP will change automatically. You public IP is what websites and ISP providers use to figure out which region you are in. If you connect to an American server, your IP will read as an American IP. This way, you’ll get access to the content that is restricted to the US only.

How to Unblock NBC’s The Good Place S3 with a VPN

Now that you know how a VPN can unblock NBC, let’s talk about the technical aspect of getting a VPN. Contrary to what a lot of people think, a VPN isn’t very easy to use. Anyone who knows how to use an app can use a VPN. For people who are a little more tech oriented, VPNs that use the OpenVPN protocol can be configured on almost anything.

In other words, a VPN can work for anyone. Here’s all you have to do to get a VPN to work as an average internet user:

  1. Pick a VPN provider. Go to the provider’s website and sign-up for the service.
  2. Download and install the app onto the device you’ll be using to stream the show. VPNs usually have apps for Mac, Windows, iOS, and Android devices.
  3. Launch the app and sign-in using your account.
  4. Pick an American server and connect to it. Wait for the connection to be established.
  5. Check to see if your IP now shows you in the US.
  6. Go to NBC’s live streaming and watch The Good Place season 3, same time as the US!

See? That’s all it takes.

Whenever you want to unblock a show from a different country, just pick a server from that country and hit connect.

Best VPN to Unblock NBC

As for the VPN provider you should be subscribing to, I would suggest ExpressVPN. It’s a little pricey compared to other services, but it’s the absolute best provider on the market. For those of you that don’t know, VPNs are a “you get what you pay for” kind of service. You can read our full ExpressVPN review here, but the reasons why ExpressVPN is always my top suggestions can be covered in a few points:

  • Access to 2000 servers spread across 94+ countries, guaranteeing global server coverage.
  • Military grade encryptions and the latest VPN protocols
  • The best VPN customer support team
  • Strict zero log policy you can count on
  • 30 Day Money Back Guarantee (No questions asked!)

That last point? That means that you can test it out for up to a month before you make any real commitments. If you still don’t think that ExpressVPN is the service for you, try out one of these top-tier VPN providers:

Stream The Good Place Season 3 – Final Thoughts

A few more weeks, and the wait is over. With a VPN, you can skip Netflix’s 24 hour grace period and screen The Good Place S3 online at the same time as the US. It’s important to note that while a VPN will unblock the regional restrictions that NBC has, it won’t get you out of any additional registration fees or conditions a platform enforces. If you’ve got that covered, then you’re pretty much set to go! Till then, here’s the season’s trailer to hype you up.
