How do I get Netflix and Prime (US content) to work with my firestick in China. I have installed the ExpressVPN app and chosen various US locations. No luck and I keep getting geographical restrictions. I am able to watch youtube from my firestick when ExpressVPN is on.
I live in China and I’m registered in the Italian Prime Video. ExpressVPN works fine on Mac and iPhone. Unfortunately, it doesn’t work on my AppleTV, even though it is connected to a LinkSys router with ExpressVPN installed. Hello Giorgio. It’s worth a try certainly. Keep in mind that ExpressVPN also have a Smart DNS proxy feature so you might want to give that a go first.
I have been living in China for more than 5 years. Astrill VPN has never disappointed. People living here mostly have either Astrill or ExpressVPN. I have never heard of the others.
I use NordVPN’s obfuscated servers and it worked fine for me. In case there’s any troubles I’d offer to always try with obfuscation or at least try to connect to the latest servers in the list, at least that’s what I heard from Nord’s support.
As always in China, nothing works… That is why it is always better to have a vpn with you. I use Nordvpn in my travels and I never had any problems to connect to Amazon Prime, Netflix or Hulu.

Hello Kim. I’ve just tested ExpressVPN and can confirm it’s working with both Netflix and Amazon Prime. Try connecting to a different VPN server and if that doesn’t help, get in touch with ExpressVPN support.
Real life viability is spotty at best. I have Express VPN and use the Hulu hasp, plus a high end router programed with Express VPN and the results are dismal at best. Constant regional restriction issues and proxy issues. For the seldom times you can get through, the lag and buffering are extremely annoying. And I have the fastest internet connection available.
