How to Install VPN on Fire TV Cube
How to install VPN on Fire TV Cube? Amazon has just released its new Fire TV Cube, which is basically three devices in one. Amazon’s latest product has an Amazon Echo, an enhanced Fire TV, and a Universal IR Remote Controller. Welcome to the automatic life where you walk into your house, and the TV turns on upon your voice request. With Alexa built in the cube, you get to order it to perform certain functions with just your voice. The “TV Box” part of the device is actually a Fire TV (not FireTV Stick) with 16GB of internal storage, which makes the installation of software, apps and addons more accessible. However, the Fire TV Cube’s impressive features will go unnoticed without a VPN connection. Having a VPN installed on your Fire TV Cube is essential for a successful and fruitful streaming experience. This tutorial will show you how you can get a VPN on your Fire TV Cube.

I installed IPVanish on my firestick 4K with no issues….I upgraded to FireCube and each time I connect IPVanish I can not stream at all saying no network connection. You need to reboot the cube to get back you IP.
Does anyone have this issue?
That’s really weird. Have you tried updating your Fire TV Cube’s firmware?
Will that help
Hi Robert. What are you trying to achieve?
I am having the same issue with the cube VPN using PIA. Connection is fine but the yellow light indicating the cube is searching for network is always on when the VPN is activated. Has there been any fix for this issue? Does it do the same thing with any VPN or just PIA?
I am also having an issue with the cube VPN. Using PIA also. Connection is fine but the yellow light indicating the cube is searching for network is always on as long as VPN is activated. Any help would be much appreciated.
The problem I’ve been having using ANY VPN on the Fire TV Cube is significantly slowed download speeds. When I connect direct to Comcast thru their own Xfinity/Arris a/c router over the 5ghz channel, the Cube gets download speeds of 185mbps using the analiti speedtest app. As soon as I enable a VPN service, that download speed drops way down to about 35-40mbps. At this speed, I get constant buffering issues which effect my kodi experience.
However, when I connect from my desktop or more importantly, my iphone xr over the same 5ghz channel using the vpn service, I can still manage over 100mbps connections. So, I don’t believe the Arris router’s firewall is to blame. I’ve tried about 4 different VPN services including Windscribe, Nord, and ExpressVPN, but they all show the same speedtest results.
I’m beginning to think that the Cube itself is to blame and doesn’t fully support VPN connections. Have any of you been able to successfully launch a VPN service on the Cube with strong download speeds. Would love some help with this.
I’ve had my Amazon Cube for just one year. I Initially had not problem connecting to IPVanish then all of a sudden, I was not able to connect and there were no changes The customer service is horrible. On several occasions, when I was supposed to be contacted by a level 2 tech support agent, I was never notified. On other occasions, I was asked to try the same things over and over again. I’m very unsatisfied with their service. I still can’t connect.
I installed VPN on my fire cube but the cube now strobes a yellow light from left to right and right to left and doesn’t allow me to use voice function. I called support and they said VPN isn’t compatible. Can you advise?
I am having the same problem with voice control. When I restart the Cube and VPN is deactivated the voice control returns.
I chose Private internet access for the VPN.
Anyone have a fix?
Hello John. Have you tried setting up the VPN connection on your router instead?
I have not. Might be a little above my pay grade. But I can try.
