I have been using unlocator, but they refuse to support Firestick because it seems the fire cube uses the location services from your address? Can we turn off location on the firecube?
The Fire TV Cube is Android-based and as such, there is no way to turn off location services completely on it I am afraid.
I subscribed to NHL.TV to get live streams of games from around the country — very satisfied. I also subscribed to FuboTV, which offers MSG networks for live games of the Rangers, Islanders, and Devils, as well as a suite of additional channels. BUT the one thing missing is the NHL Network, which I used to get before cutting the cord last week. I haven’t yet found a source to receive this. If it is available, either for free or for a small monthly charge, I would like to know where I can get it. TIA
Hi Garry. In order to get NHL Network without having to subscribe to cable, you either need AT&T TV NOW or Sling TV.
I have Private Internet Access (PIA) as a VPN. Very good VPN provider. Also have PureVPN.. not so good, but still works.
Then have some Amazon Fire pads. 6″, 8″ and 10″. I used to be able to watch out of market or blackouted games. I live 80 miles away, separate city, and I do understand why the blackouts.
However, no matter what I do, connecting the VPN to a slew of VPN destinations, in state, out of state, across the country (USA), Canada, then Brazil, Panama, Costa RIca, Finland, Germany, you name it… the games continue to be blacked out.
As said, I used to be able to connect using these same VPNs. The Amazon Fire10 tablet is when things went awry. I am not able to view any of these “local” games via a myriad of VPN connections, locations, etc.
Any ideas? The odd thing is I can view the same live games from from a Roku connection via VPN no problem. Same VPN, same circuits. But when using several Amazon tablets, no go. There must be come location services function that bypasses the VPN location is all I can think. But no matter what, am unable to get past this on an Amazon tablet. I have not tried non-Amazon tablets yet.
