Sky Sports are one of the best sports streaming channels in the world. Therefore, it’s no surprise so many people are looking for ways to add a Sky Sports Kodi addon to their video add-ons. But is there a legal Kodi addon that you can use for that purpose? In this tutorial, we’ll discover whether installing Sky Sports Kodi 17 addon for both Jarvis and Krypton 17 is actually possible or not.
Is it Possible to Install Sky Sports on Kodi?
Unfortunately, at the moment there is no official Kodi addon for Sky Sports. That might change in the future and when it happens, I will update this article. In the meantime, feel free to try out these other best official Kodi sports addons instead.
Unblock More Content on Kodi – Use VPN
Most official sports Kodi addons only work in certain regions such as USA, UK, Canada, and Australia. To bypass these regional restrictions and watch live and on-demand content on any Kodi plugin you want anywhere you want you have to spoof your location online using VPN. Below are some of the benefits you get when using VPN with Kodi.
- Unblock Geo-restricted Kodi Add-ons: There are a lot of Kodi addons, such as USTVNow, that you can only use in certain regions. With VPN you can bypass regional restrictions.
- Bypass ISP Throttling: Ever noticed that your Internet speed is decent if you are browsing websites but suddenly drops when you are watching videos online? If that is the case, your ISP is probably throttling your Internet speed. Using VPN basically allows you to avoid that from happening.
- Ultimate Privacy: Add an extra layer of privacy and security to all your online activities.
- VPN Applications: You don’t have to be a tech-freak to setup a VPN connection thanks to user-friendly VPN apps on PC, Mac, Android, iOS, and FireStick.
From personal experience, ExpressVPN is the best VPN service you can use with Kodi. They have optimized their VPN apps to work better with Kodi add-ons and have a no-logs policy. Check out our reviewed list of the best Kodi VPNs in 2017 below.

How to Install Sky Sports Addon on Kodi – Summing It Up
Kodi is a great tool to add all your favorite streaming channels into one app. If you add VPN to the equation, there is no limit to the quantity of XBMC addons you can get access to.
Hi could anyone answer this,I live in the UK and have ipvanish and wish to watch sky sports via Kodiak on fire stick should I set the server to UK or another country in the ipvanish.
Thanks
Tony
Charles. I’m not very computer/tech savvy, but I do know that in recent months it’s been near impossible to watch live football during the times when the PL is on. Other times it seems fine, so someone is insuring that you can’t access the streams via Kodi.
Ben says his IP Vanish doesn’t solve the problem, hence my reluctance to buy it.
Yeah I can see where you’re coming from, but that’s why most of these services have a money-back guarantee. If the service doesn’t work as intended you can always get your money back. Having said that, I’ve been using both IPVanish and BulletVPN along with Kodi and I’m not facing any issues with my ISP blocking the streams at all this season.
Ben King – When you mean days, does this mean Friday – Sunday.
It’s the point I made elsewhere. ISP’s are going hard on Kodi streams.
It started at the backend of last season’s PL season and has carried on into the new season.
I suspect if you were to turn Sports Devil on now it will probably work, but from lunchtime on Saturday through to around 7.30pm, it didn’t. This was because PL football was on. It was the same on Sunday for the duration of the two games.
It worked perfectly in the evening for the Spanish football.
This is why I don’t ant to pay for IP Vanish, if it’s not going to bypass the problems I’m (all of us it seems) getting at weekends.
Frustrated- Yes it was Friday to Sunday, nothing worked at all. Seemed ok this morning. I did download a VPN but downloaded through my laptop, thinking that this would change the ISP address for everything that needs the internet in my house, but it only changed the ISP address for the laptop and my phone, but not the amazon firestick which has the Kodi on. The trouble is, I can’t download anything at all onto my firestick, for some reason, the only downloads I can make are through Kodi.
Charles, I thought I posted this the other day, but I can’t see it anywhere, so I’ll post it again.

Hi. ISPs can only block you from accessing certain sites or streams but they cannot ‘block them from the source’ unless the website that is hosting the stream actually goes down which isn’t the case here. Bottomline is that you’ll need a VPN like IPVanish to unblock sports streams on Kodi.
None of my sport addons have been working for days now. I have IPvanish installed, checked the IP address and it has changed but it hasn’t made any difference. The problem seems to be with Sportsdevil. No matter which addon I use ( Halow, DC sports, UKTurks ) they all need Sportsdevil to work, and it just isn’t happening at the mo.
Hi ive lost all sports on my kodi box .wondering if a vpn would work and how would i get 1 from britain as all on here are in dollars .thanks
Hi Sheena. You can install a VPN on your Android box using and get around the ISP blocking. Here’s how https://thevpn.guru/install-vpn-android-tv-box-kodi/
You can purchase a VPN subscription regardless of your currency.
I’m sure people are aware that UK ISP’s are now heavily clamping down on illegal streaming.
It’s now got to the point that my ISP is bang on it, and it’s now near impossible to watch any football during times when PL games are being played.
I don’t want to purchase something like IP Vanish if it’s not going to work on my Firestick using either Kodi or Mobdro.
Can anyone tell me that the sports channels will work despite the clamp down by my ISP?
IPVanish does work on Firestick.
Thanks Charles.
I’ve just read on the Express website that ISP’s are closing the streaming at source, hence many of the links on Kodi and Mobdro don’t work.
If I install IP Vanish, I suspect many of the links still won’t work?
It’s now become a battle of wits between content providers and those who don’t want to pay exorbitant prices.
Can anyone confirm there will be a better chance of watching live sport if I install IP Vanish? I spent nearly an hour in vain trying to find the Swansea v Man Utd game, and don’t want to waste my time again.
Thanks.
I’m using IPVanish and I’m not having any issues. Could you please post a link to the ExpressVPN article where they state that ISPs are closing streams at source?

It seems that the metalkettle site is down
Hi Stefan. Try setting it up using the Superrepo instead. Use “http://srp.nu” without the quotations as the source.
Hi, I have tried the above and now I’m stuck on a single page: sports mix.
Please help
